Soon after the garage was torn down, 5 palates of brick for the retaining wall was expected to be delivered. In between those days we went through a few days of rain. It wasn’t much rain but the newly exposed clay ruined the delivery persons day.
The driver was able to drop one palate of bricks in the designated spot in the back of the yard. On his second attempt the machine became stuck. After a few attempts to wiggle free he decided to seek help from the workers currently replacing our street. Thankfully they were able to help out.
Maybe two palates of bricks on the second attempt wasn’t such a good idea. Unwilling to make a third attempt, the driver arranged to drop the rest of the load at the landscaping subcontractor’s facility.
